Italian cuisine is very popular and well-known in our country, so instead of explaining in detail what to eat, it would be more practical to give information about the places we experienced in Rome.
We listed below places that we experienced and liked for dining in Rome.
Where to eat in Rome :
Osteria Barberini Restaurant: Bruschetta, truffle lasagna, baked eggplant and buffalo mozzarella salad were legendary. There is a serious line out the door, reservations are recommended. Address: Via della Purificazione, 21
Restaurant Alfredo: This was the name when we went, I think its named was changed to II Vero Alfredo lately. It is known as the birthplace of fettuccine alfredo pasta. In short, we liked it, but the prices were a bit higher when we went.
Pastificio Guerra: This is a tiny pasta restaurant, fast food style, very close to the Spanish Steps. If you find a seat inside and eat, they offer a glass of wine with it, but if you get take-away, they don’t serve the wine outside (at least when we went). Most customers prefer to get take-away and eat it sitting on the Spanish Steps. The pasta is fresh, the prices are very reasonable. There are 2 different types of fresh pasta every day, one with meat and the other without. If you don’t eat pork, you can ask what kind of meat is in the meat that day and get the other type. You can also buy uncooked fresh pasta to take home or as a gift.
Antico Caffe Greco: A historical cafe-patisserie. The tiramisu was very good and the coffee was also very delicious. It is one of the most historical cafes in Rome. It is impossible not to feel this historical past inside the place. It is located on Via dei Condotti. It is very close to the Spanish Steps.
Babingston’s Tea Rooms: Another historical cafe-tea house that I would definitely recommend, it makes you very happy. Very close to the Spanish Steps. Address: Piazza di Spagna
The Gelatist: We loved the ice cream, delicious and a wide variety. Address: Via Nazionale, 19a
Frigidarium: They have a few branches in Rome, but we found the ice cream too sweet, it didn’t appeal to us.
Pompi Tiramisu: We liked the classic one
Antica Rome: A place where you can eat and drink, something hot or cold, right across from the Vittoria Emanuel monument. We chose Aperol and Pina Colada, they were delicious. It was really enjoyable to take a breather while sipping something while facing the Vittoria Emanuel monument at Antica Rome, which is right across from the Vittoria Emanuel monument.
